1st day in Perth :
10/02/08, Sunday.
Airport reception was successful. was being picked up from Perth airport safely together with a lot of the other Curtin students. By the time we reached our campus, its still very early for check in. Our check in time is 11am perth time, but we'r already here at 9plus! slack and slept on the wooden table. haha.. thats how tired we are!
We'r allocated to different flats but same building. I'm lucky to meet some fellow Singaporeans and he helped me to carry my heavy luggage up the stairs to our unit! So nice of him! Thank you so much, Tim. and der's another Singaporean living just next to me! hee..
Settled down a little while before we called for a cab out to her sis's dormitory and it cost us 30plus! haha.. Aussie cabs are indeed of a higer end. Set of to the city after awhile. The bus tip cost A$2.20. The buses are quite cool. They have a time table table for the buses to arrive. So when you wan to take a bus to anywhere, check out the timetable to know what time the bus will be arriving instead of waiting like a fool over at the bus stop! Cool huh?
Walked ard the city and realised that perth city is so unlike SG's! I miss SG's big shopping centres lah! had late lunch at this HK cafe. Tried can type of bubble tea! haha..
Bought my shampoo, Single bed set and pillow from this Tangs shopping centre look-alike. Sadly to say, they didnt have the type of shampoo i'm using! But hope the new one gonna be good to my hair.
Bought Aussie sim card and settle down at this convenience stall to activate the sim card online and bought some tibits, pies, big bottle of orange juice from there. Yup, you have to activate the sim cards bought in Aussie online instead of those like Starhub which u purchased in SG where they activate for you the moment you purchased the card.
Took a cab back again. packed abit and slept all the way til the next morning without any disturbance due to the tiredness i'm experiencing!Labels: 1st day in perth
